Zahra teaches mainly the authentic Egyptian-Middle Eastern style of dance which includes classical Middle Eastern dance, Balady, Saidi (cane dance), veil and cymbals technique, and dances of the Gulf region. Her teaching is dynamic, expressive, and based on free dance. She teaches precise polished technique as well as the feeling for the Arabic music, combined with the enthusiasm for the dance. Zahra combines discipline with fun in her classes. Her style is unmistakable. Her intoxicating temperament infects everyone. She begins her classes with a warm-up which includes isolation and coordination exercises during which special attention is placed on correct alignment and posture to strengthen the muscles of the back. Great importance is also attached to the correct placement of the feet and arms while dancing. Special exercises strengthen the pelvic area. In addition, an understanding of rhythm and music will be developed.
